The Ministry of Defense has codified and approved the supply of the domestic-made universal ground robotic complex CRAB-LS.
This was reported by the Main Directorate for the Life Cycle Support of Weapons and Military Equipment.
CRAB-LS is designed primarily for logistical support tasks—delivering necessary supplies, ammunition, gear, and evacuating the wounded. It can also be used for installing combat modules and as a transporter in hazardous zones.
The complex is equipped with a silent high-torque electric motor and all-terrain tires that enable it to traverse sand dunes, marshy areas, shallow ditches, and obstacles.
The full weight of the medical-logistics version is 440 kilograms, and it can carry a payload of up to 270 kilograms.
It can accommodate two sitting or three lying individuals. Its length is 2000 mm, width is 1080 mm, the height of the upper platform is 780 mm, and the ground clearance is 300 mm.
The platform, in both configurations, is operated via a remote control or a special connected console. The operator can control the platform using FPV goggles.
CRAB-LS units are already performing various tasks in the Defense Forces. They have evacuated dozens of wounded and delivered tens of tons of supplies (ammunition, provisions) to areas of intense combat, saving many soldiers' lives. There is also an example of the platform being used as a ground-based kamikaze drone.
