The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has launched the "Wartime Diplomacy" page, which sheds light on Ukrainian diplomatic efforts during the full-scale Russian aggression and summarizes the two years of diplomats' work to strengthen Ukraine, garner international support for the soldiers, and open new horizons for the country, businesses, and citizens.
During this period of unprecedented challenges and difficulties, Ukrainian diplomacy has surpassed traditional diplomatic principles to achieve critical results for our state.
"The fire of war has scorched every Ukrainian region, almost every home, almost every family. But this fire has also burned bridges with the past. For diplomats, this means that the word 'impossible' no longer exists in our vocabulary. Since February 2022, President Volodymyr Zelensky's diplomatic team has been operating in a special mode of wartime diplomacy - exhausting and risky, daring but deliberate, changing the rules of diplomatic play," stated Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba.
Despite all the difficulties, Ukraine, together with its partners, has built a global coalition for support against Russian aggression, attracted and continues to attract unprecedented military assistance from partners, confidently moves towards EU accession, supports global food security, strengthens sanctions pressure, and isolates the aggressor state, fighting for justice.
Thanks to the coordinated efforts of President Volodymyr Zelensky's team, Ukraine has unlocked political decisions to receive all seven types of modern foreign weapons necessary for our defenders from partners: anti-tank weapons, NATO artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, modern air defense complexes, Western tanks, long-range missiles, and fighter jets.
Even during times of full-scale war, we are opening new horizons in the world for the Ukrainian state, businesses, and citizens, expanding diplomatic presence, and attracting investments for the development of our country.
Ukraine continues to develop the Ukraine Recovery Conference platform, President of Ukraine's humanitarian initiative "Grain From Ukraine," the International Crimean Platform, proposed by the Head of State, the Formula for Peace, and other global and strategic initiatives.
As part of the New Horizons policy, our country has initiated a renaissance of Ukrainian-African relations. In 2022-2023, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba conducted three diplomatic tours of the African continent and, for the first time in bilateral relations history, visited Morocco, Rwanda, Mozambique, Liberia, Ethiopia, and Equatorial Guinea. Within the framework of the Black Sea Grain Initiative in 2022-2023, nearly 4 million tons of agricultural products were sent to African countries (Libya, Algeria, Egypt, Kenya, Sudan, Tunisia, Ethiopia, Somalia, Morocco).
The website "Wartime Diplomacy" provides detailed information about these and other achievements of Ukrainian wartime diplomacy.
