The Netherlands is joining the coalition of drones for Ukraine. Within the coalition, Amsterdam will supply Kyiv with advanced drone technologies and strengthen its offensive capabilities in the war against Russia.
This was stated by the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands, Kajsa Ollongren, as reported by The Guardian.
This commitment from the Netherlands complements the supply of F-16 fighter jets, artillery, ammunition, and air defense systems to Ukraine.
According to the defense minister, the Netherlands may incur additional costs on top of the 2 billion euros allocated for the year 2024.
"We know, of course, that drones are very important in this war. That's why we are joining the drone coalition that Ukraine has created together with Latvia, along with other countries, to ensure that we are doing just that - increasing production, using cutting-edge technologies, and providing exactly what Ukraine needs," she said.
