For the summer 2021 holiday season, Ukrzaliznytsia is restoring traffic or restarting 30 passenger trains, a significant part of which will go to Odessa.
The management of the Ukrainian Railways promises to significantly improve passenger traffic by the summer. The emphasis is on trains towards the seaside resorts of the Black and Azov Seas - Odessa, Zatoka, Berdyansk, Genichesk, Mariupol, as well as on the communication between large industrial cities. 12 of these trains have Odessa direcition.
The direction between Odessa and Kyiv is planned to be strengthened with a number of trains, which will run at different intervals. This is an additional summer train "Intercity" No. 761/762 "Odessa - Kyiv", as well as passenger trains No. 147/148, No. 223/224 and 287/288. And train â145 / 146 "Kyiv - Odessa - Izmail" will make one more stop at the resort of Zatoka - at the station Karolino-Bugaz.
The direction from Odessa to the west of Ukraine is focused on communication, mainly between Odessa and Lviv. Here, in addition to the current express number 11/12 "Odessa - Lviv", they also promise to launch, with one or another frequency, passenger trains # 167/168, # 227/228, # 257/258 and # 273/274, as well as # 289 / 290 "Odessa - Chernivtsi". Also, this direction is served by trains â 107/108 "Odessa - Lviv - Uzhgorod" and â 135/136 "Belgorod-Dnestrovsky - Odessa - Lviv - Chernivtsi".
The direction from Odessa to the east of Ukraine is oriented, first of all, towards Kharkov. The existing train No. 59/60 will be "extended" to Lisichansk. Train # 271/272 "Kharkov - Odessa" is being added, which will also pass through Krivoy Rog. The movement of the train â141 / 142 "Odessa - Mariupol" is resumed, the train â213 / 214 "Odessa - Sumy" is launched.
In other directions trains "Lviv - Zaporozhye", "Lviv - Berdyansk", "Lviv - Kherson", "Dnepr - Genichesk", "Krivoy Rog - Genichesk", "Ivano-Frankivsk - Genichesk", "Zhmerynka - Genichesk", "Khmelnitsky - Genichesk", "Kharkov - Genichesk", "Dnepr - Berdyansk", "Kharkov - Berdyansk", "Kyiv - Berdyansk", "Lisichansk - Nikolaev", "Kyiv - Nikolaev" and others.
At the same time, the launch of trains does not affect such regional centers as Rivne, Zhitomir, Chernigov and Cherkassy.
It should be noted that some of the mentioned trains can run as additional ones - irregularly, several times per season, or, at best, several times a week. You should also take into account certain restrictions that may be associated with the presence of a particular region in the "red" zone of quarantine - as now, for example, communication with the Transcarpathian, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi regions is limited.
