The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) has struck the Crimean Bridge for the third time, causing severe damage to its underwater support structures at the seabed level, according to an official statement on Telegram.
The covert operation, which had been in preparation for several months, culminated at 4:44 a.m. when the first explosive device was detonated. A total of 1,100 kg of explosives (TNT equivalent) was used to target the illegal structure. The bridge is now considered to be in an emergency condition.
SSU chief Lieutenant General Vasyl Maliuk personally oversaw the operation’s planning and execution.
“God loves a trinity, and the SSU always finishes what it starts—we never repeat ourselves,” Maliuk stated. “We already struck the Crimean Bridge twice, in 2022 and 2023. Today, we continued the tradition—this time underwater. There is no place for illegal Russian structures on our land. The bridge is a legitimate target, especially given its role in the enemy’s military logistics. Crimea is Ukraine, and any signs of occupation will be met with a harsh response.”
