The State Bureau of Investigation became a member of the International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities. This decision was made at the 12th General Meeting of IAACA members. The office of the association is located in Hong Kong.

Membership in the International Association of Anticorruption Authorities will contribute to expanding the State Bureau of Investigation's ties with the world's leading anti-corruption players. It will allow the development of joint international strategies and constructive discussions aimed at building institutions and societies based on integrity and the rule of law.

The International Association of Anticorruption Authorities is an independent anti-corruption organization.

The organization's main goal is to promote the effective implementation of the UN Convention against Corruption, adopted by the UN General Assembly on October 31, 2003, and to help anti-corruption bodies from around the world in preventing and fighting corruption.

To date, more than 150 law enforcement agencies from various countries and jurisdictions have joined IAACA as members. Anti-corruption bodies from Great Britain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Argentina and other countries joined the association with the SBI.

This step is evidence of the integration of domestic and European anti-corruption programs.
