The music festival Coachella has announced the lineup for the 2024 festival. This year, it will take place in California over two weekends: from April 12 to 14 and from April 19 to 21. Among the artists announced are the Ukrainian electronic duo ARTBAT and DJ Miss Monique. The festival's team published the list of artists on social media.
ARTBAT is a Ukrainian electronic duo founded in 2014 by Arthur Kryvenko and Vitalii Lymarenko. The collective gained popularity with compositions and remixes in the techno and house genres.
They debuted in 2015 with the song "Mandrake" and received support from British DJ Richie Hawtin, who played the track in every set for a year.
In 2019, they won the "Breakthrough of the Year" award at the DJ Awards, one of the most prestigious awards in the world of electronic music. They also became the best-selling artists on Beatport and received the title of "Stars of the Year" from the British magazine Mixmag.
In 2022, they joined the charitable initiative Music Saves UA and raised over 1 million hryvnias during a rave in Vilnius. The funds were directed towards evacuating Ukrainians from the front line and providing humanitarian aid to those affected by the war.
"Besides the opportunity to raise funds for assistance and support to Ukrainians in such difficult times, it is also a great chance to present Ukraine as a modern, progressive, and, of course, European country," commented ARTBAT at that time.
