The Ukrainian medical platform CheckEye, which detects signs of diabetic retinopathy using artificial intelligence, has begun operations in Germany, as reported on the company's website.
Our development became part of Gesundheitskiosk24 by Aspilos GmbH—an innovative concept that provides health status checks, such as blood analysis or vitamin levels, with results available on a mobile phone within 24 hours.
The collaboration started in Heidelberg, Germany, and soon Gesundheitskiosk24 services will be available nationwide. CheckEye has enhanced its product lineup by adding its screening tool for the widespread complication of a severe disease.
"The entry of the Ukrainian AI platform into the Western European medical services market recognizes the high competitive ability of the symbiosis between the Ukrainian medical and IT industries. Building on our positive experience in Ukraine (with nearly 4,000 people screened at an accuracy rate exceeding 93%), we plan to offer millions of people in Germany access to screening jointly with the Gesundheitskiosk24 platform," said Kyrylo Honcharuk, founder of CheckEye.
CheckEye is a patented artificial intelligence/machine learning technology for mass screening of diabetic retinopathy and other serious conditions affecting the human vascular system. It was developed with the involvement of leading experts from the Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy. Currently, CheckEye's screening tool achieves an accuracy of 93%, aligning with advanced global screening practices.
