Great Britain is providing a funding package of up to £242 million (approximately $309 million) for urgent humanitarian, energy, and stabilization needs in Ukraine.
This was reported by the Government of the United Kingdom.
The announcement of this assistance will be made at the G7 summit in Italy, scheduled for June 13-15, by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
His priority at the summit will be to work with partners on agreeing on the use of frozen Russian assets to support Ukraine.
"The UK and G7 leaders have been clear that Russian must pay for the damage it is causing Ukraine. We will explore all lawful avenues by which immobilised Russian assets can be used to support Ukraine," the statement said.
According to Britain, the value of assets held in G7 jurisdictions amounts to $285 billion
