Patrol boats, radars and medical equipment: this is the US Department of Defense new allocation of military assistance for Ukraine.
The US Department of Defense announced the allocation of a new military aid package to Ukraine totaling $ 125 million. The assistance is aimed at ensuring the territorial integrity of Ukraine, protecting its borders and improving interaction with NATO.
The package includes training, provision of equipment and weapons. Two more patrol boats Mark VI type promised last year have been added to other six boats. In addition, Ukraine will be allocated additional amount of tactical and medical equipment, counter-battery radars and will share satellite images to analyze the situation.
The remaining $ 150 million from Congress for fiscal 2021 will come after the U.S. Department of Defense, in coordination with the Department of State, demonstrates that Ukraine has made sufficient progress on key defense reforms.
