As of July 2025, the Ukrainian Energy Support Fund has accumulated over €1.15 billion from 33 donor countries.

This was announced by the Minister of Energy, Svitlana Hrynchuk, at a meeting with heads of foreign diplomatic missions in Ukraine, according to the Ministry of Energy.

“Our strategic priorities focus on internal transformations that fully respond to the challenges of the war. In particular, these are the protection and enhancement of the energy system’s resilience, ensuring stable energy supply, as well as decentralization and modernization of energy infrastructure,” Hrynchuk said at the meeting with ambassadors.

The Minister also emphasized the need to accumulate resources for a stable upcoming heating season and to create a strategic gas reserve to meet the needs of Ukraine and Eastern European countries.

According to her, there are several key tools for working with partners.

“This includes the Ukrainian Energy Support Fund, which as of July 2025 has accumulated over €1.15 billion from 33 donor countries. Also, the Emergency Energy Aid Hub, which manages the reception, logistics, and distribution of humanitarian cargo for critical infrastructure enterprises. Since its launch, the hub has received 1,870 shipments totaling over 24,000 tons from 38 countries worldwide,” Hrynchuk reported.

Equally important, in her opinion, is Ukraine’s bilateral cooperation with partners, particularly with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and the governments of France, Belgium, Denmark, and Lithuania.

The meeting also discussed the situation at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, cooperation with the IAEA, prospects for nuclear energy development, gas production growth, and harmonization of legislation with EU law, including the results of the screening process.
