The Ministry of Development team discussed with the Dutch Vice Minister for International Cooperation Ukraine’s needs and priority areas for reconstruction, as well as potential investment projects within the Ukraine Partnership Facility (UPF) in the water infrastructure sector.

According to the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development, shared with Ukrinform, the Ukrainian side proposed participating in the development, support, and implementation of water infrastructure projects. One format is a public-private partnership mechanism, which allows more effective attraction of investments and innovative solutions for creating, restoring, or modernizing infrastructure.

In particular, the meeting participants discussed the need for projects that will improve the energy efficiency of water supply systems, modernize wastewater treatment enterprises, and ensure access to quality drinking water in accordance with European standards. The Ministry of Development proposed that the Dutch side participate in implementing these projects by providing financial, expert, and technological support.

Additionally, the discussion covered enhancing the institutional capacity of the Ministry of Development and the Reconstruction Agency in implementing public investment management reform.

Deputy Minister of Communities and Territories Development Maryna Denysiuk also thanked the Dutch government for another aid package of €30 million for the reconstruction of Ukraine in 2025 and 2026, which was announced at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome.
