On the night of January 16, Ukrainian drones attacked an oil depot in the Liskinsky district of the Voronezh region, as reported by Governor Alexander Gusev. According to him, over ten drones were involved in the attack.

"There were no casualties. Preliminary reports indicate that civilian property was not damaged," Gusev wrote on his Telegram channel.

As a result of the drone strikes, several tanks at the Liskin oil depot caught fire. Gusev had previously reported the fire caused by the "falling" of several drones at the depot in the evening.

According to local residents, as cited by Baza, three drones fell onto the fuel facility within a few minutes.

In total, on the night of January 16, air defense forces destroyed 27 drones over Russian regions, as reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense. Specifically, 15 drones were shot down over Belgorod, seven over Voronezh, three over Tambov, and two over the Kursk region. According to Shot, the drones attempted to target a powder factory in the Tambov region. Explosions occurred in the town of Kotovsk, where the facility is located.

On January 14, Ukrainian drones attacked a liquefied gas base on the outskirts of Kazan, as well as an oil depot at the Kristall factory in Engels, which had been burning for five days following a previous attack. In addition, the Saratov Oil Refinery owned by Rosneft in Saratov was also targeted.

Most likely the Ukrainian Armed Forces used long-range drones called Lyuty, which are replicas of the Turkish Bayraktar. The drone is capable of flying up to 1,000 km and carrying up to 50 kg of explosives.
