Ukraine’s Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Taras Kachka, discussed priority areas of cooperation with Israel’s Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and member of the Security Cabinet, Avi Dichter.

This was reported by the Vice Prime Minister’s Office.

“Ukrainian agriculture is recovering and maintaining a strong position in the context of global food security, despite the war. Since the start of the 2025–2026 marketing year, Ukraine has already exported over 10 million tons of grains and legumes. It is extremely important for us to continue ensuring uninterrupted trade flows of our products,” Taras Kachka said.

The sides also discussed:

  • Developing economic contacts in the field of modern agricultural and food industry technologies;
  • Strengthening dialogue on grain trade;
  • Developing potential in the fisheries sector.

Separately, Kachka met with Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Saar. During the talks, both sides emphasized the importance of the upcoming session of the Joint Ukrainian-Israeli Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation to strengthen bilateral partnership.

Ukraine and Israel will also begin cooperation to ensure the continuity of digital government services in emergency situations and will start work on an updated Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of communications and digital technologies.

The countries also agreed on the importance of launching new formats of cooperation for the rehabilitation and social integration of veterans.

In the context of environmental protection, the sides identified post-war “green” recovery, water resource management, and the cleanup of war-contaminated areas as priorities. They also confirmed the importance of further joint projects in education, agri-innovation, and community development.

The parties agreed to hold the 14th session of the Commission in Kyiv. Work on implementing the agreements reached will begin shortly.
