Ukrainian drones attacked the Rosneft oil refinery (OR) in Syzran, Samara Region, on the night of Friday, according to Astra and Exilenova+ channel citing local residents.
As a result of the strike, a fire broke out at the facility, and the glow was captured on video by eyewitnesses. This is already the second attack on the Syzran refinery, with an annual capacity of 8.5 million tons, in the past two weeks.

The attack on Syzran began at about two in the morning; local residents reported several explosions and the “work” of air defense systems in the southern and western parts of the city, writes Shot. The fact of the attack was confirmed at night by the city’s mayor, Sergey Volodchenkov, without providing details.
The regional government did not comment on the situation. The Syzran refinery annually produces 800 thousand tons of gasoline and 1.5 million tons of diesel fuel and is one of the largest in the Rosneft refinery network, supplying fuel to the Samara, Saratov, and Penza regions and partly to the regions of Central Russia.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces previously noted that it is “involved in meeting the needs” of the Russian army.
