Military spokesman Captain 3rd Rank Dmytro Pletenchuk stated that currently, there are no combat units of the Russians in the waters of the Black and Azov Seas, as Russians are still seeking solutions on how to change this situation.

He shared this information during a broadcast of the United News telethon, informing about the situation in the waters of the Black and Azov Seas.

"The situation remains stable. We see that there are practically no combat units of our adversary in the waters at the moment. They are stationed at their bases. It can be said that the enemy is still searching for solutions on how to change this situation. They are taking some measures, such as increasing aviation patrols. They have increased their aerial component. But in principle, the situation remains practically the same as it has been for the past month. They mostly do not venture out to sea," said Pletenchuk.

He also provided information about the underwater component of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

"Of the six carriers, two remain outside. One has been destroyed - the 'Rostov-on-Don,' three remain in service. These are carriers of cruise missiles of the 'Kalibr' type, each of which can carry up to four missiles. And one more unit is the 'Alrosa,' 'Paltus,' the previous project. It is not a carrier of cruise missiles, but it is important because the operational zone in the northern part of the Black Sea is closed to them due to shallow depth," said the spokesperson of the Ukrainian Navy.

As reported, as of 7:00 a.m. Thursday, April 18, Russian military ships were absent in the Black and Azov Seas.
