In the UK, instructors from Norway’s ELLISEV training operation are conducting sessions for Ukrainian recruits on position warfare.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, sharing photos from the training.
Under the expert guidance of specialists from the Norwegian National Guard, Ukrainian soldiers are learning, among other skills, how to capture and hold trenches, foxholes, and positions in forested areas, as well as provide first aid on the battlefield.
The training is part of the multinational INTERFLEX exercise. Its goal is to enhance the security and capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the front lines.
As previously reported, the ELLISEV operation is a general term for military support provided to Ukraine by Norway. It is named after ELLISEV, the eldest daughter of Prince Yaroslav the Wise, who married King Harald the Hardrada and became the Queen of Norway.
The INTERFLEX operation is a UK-led multinational training programme designed for Ukrainian soldiers with limited or no military experience. Over the past two years, more than 40,000 Ukrainian soldiers have undergone training under this programme.
