The Russian Federation does not have the capability to produce military equipment in the quantities it loses in the war in Ukraine. Deputy Chairman of the Committee on National Security of the Verkhovna Rada, Yegor Chernev, made this statement.
"We have information on the production capabilities of tanks at Uralvagonzavod, for example. They started working there in three shifts. But that means they can produce 300 of the latest T-90 tanks per year. We destroy 600 in just three months of summer. So, sooner or later, they will face a shortage of artillery weaponry. I believe this problem will arise very soon," he said during a national telethon.
Chernev also noted that Ukrainian military forces are currently focused on destroying Russian artillery.
"Currently, our defense forces are concentrating on artillery installations, artillery barrels, to ensure that they do not have the opportunity to respond or cover us with artillery fire in a counteroffensive. Their artillery resources are not limitless; their warehouses have a finite supply of artillery weaponry," Chernev concluded
