On the Day of Military Intelligence of Ukraine, September 7th, President Vladimir Zelensky awarded the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kyrylo Budanov, the new rank of Lieutenant General.
This is stated in Decree No. 564/2023 on the website of the President of Ukraine.
The document reads, 'To confer the military rank of Lieutenant General on Major General Kirill Alexeevich Budanov, Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.'
The President of the country, Zelensky, signed the decree today.
