In the occupied city of Enerhodar, a military unit of the Russian National Guard (Rosgvardiya) has been registered with a legal address matching that of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.

This was reported by the Center for Investigative Journalism, citing data from the Russian state register.

It was noted that on July 30, 2024, military unit No. 6945 was registered at 133 Promyslova Street, the address of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.

"The founding rights are exercised by the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation," the register entry states.

The Center for Investigative Journalism believes that Russia is attempting to legitimize the presence of its military at the plant.
