The Russian army is attempting to establish a foothold in the Noven'ke area in the Sumy region and cut off logistical routes.

As reported by Andriy Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, said in a TV marathon broadcast that:

"we are recording that in the direction of Noven'ke, the enemy is trying to create an area of active hostilities on Ukrainian territory and establish a presence there. These are small assault groups, consisting of several people. They are trying to infiltrate our territory, accumulate forces, and likely move deeper into Ukraine with the aim of cutting off logistics routes."

He noted that Ukrainian units, using artillery, mortars, and reconnaissance-strike UAV systems, are striking the enemy to destroy them, prevent force accumulation, and stop the expansion of the conflict zone.

"When talking about the front line, where the units of the State Border Guard Service are operating, the enemy is actively using all available means to shell our positions and deliver strikes. We are observing an increase in the number of shelling incidents, including the use of UAVs, including fiber-optic drones," Demchenko added.

He stated that the most intense area remains the Kupiansk direction, where the enemy continues its assault operations. The spokesperson noted that the enemy uses assault groups, attempting to push Ukrainian units out of held positions and expand the combat zone. However, these attempts have not been successful.
