In Russia, war criminal pilot Dmitry Golenko, involved in the missile strike on the "Amstor" shopping mall in Kremenchuk, Poltava region, on June 27, 2022, has been eliminated.
This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on Facebook.
On the morning of October 20, Golenko's body was found in an apple orchard in the village of Suponyevo near Bryansk.
He was a pilot of the 52nd Heavy Bomber Aviation Regiment of the Russian Aerospace Forces (military unit 33310), based at the "Shaikovka" airfield and equipped with Tu-22M3 bombers. He was responsible for missile strikes on Ukrainian civilian targets, including the "Amstor" shopping center in Kremenchuk, where approximately one thousand people were present during the attack, resulting in 22 deaths and dozens of injuries.
Golenko was also responsible for a missile strike on a residential building in Dnipro on January 14, 2023, which killed 46 people, including six children.
The Main Intelligence Directorate noted that Golenko's body was found with multiple head injuries, likely inflicted with a hammer, and reiterated that there will be just retribution for every war crime.
