The Military Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) has detained another FSB agent in Odessa. She was preparing coordinates for new missile and drone strikes by Russian forces on the city, and in an attempt to avoid justice, she planned to flee to Russia.

Under the Russian forces' instructions, the suspect was supposed to adjust the aerial attack on the locations where Ukrainian Marine Corps bases were stationed.

The Russian forces also hoped to obtain the coordinates of temporary locations for Ukrainian border guards and police officers carrying out tasks on the southern front.

The investigation revealed that the 39-year-old local unemployed woman, who was waiting for the occupation of Odessa, was the one responsible for adjusting the targets. She expressed these views in comments under pro-Kremlin publications on Telegram channels.

It was here that she caught the attention of the FSB, and after remote recruitment, she began gathering geolocation data on the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

For cover, the agent would allegedly go for walks with her 6-year-old son and take photos of buildings that could be potential targets, marking their coordinates on Google Maps.

After these "walks" with her child, the woman would compile intelligence reports and prepare them for transmission to her Russian handler. Once she completed the Russian forces' tasks, they promised her "evacuation" to Russia through third countries and subsequent employment.

The SSU's Military Counterintelligence foiled the agent’s plans and those of her Russian handlers. She was exposed at the early stage of her espionage activities, documented, and detained at her home.

During a search, her phone and tablet were seized, which contained anonymous chats in a messenger app she used to contact the FSB.

The criminal is in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
