Ukraine’s counterintelligence service neutralized another FSB spy network operating in the Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. The operatives were gathering intelligence on Ukrainian Defense Forces positions that the Russian forces planned to target with airstrikes and long-range artillery.

During a multi-stage operation across both regions, four Russian agents were simultaneously arrested. Two acted as a pair, while the other two operated separately, all reporting to the same FSB handler.

Investigations revealed that the paired agents collected intelligence in Dnipro, working at a local food supply base. Following instructions from their Russian handler, they provided addresses of military units purchasing supplies from the warehouse, secretly photographing invoices and sending them via messenger.

The other two detainees were recruited by the FSB in the Kramatorsk district. One, a local postal worker, recorded fortified Ukrainian positions near the frontline under the guise of work trips. The other filmed the movement of Ukrainian military cargo toward the eastern front from a specially prepared location.

SSU officers uncovered the network in advance, documented its crimes, and apprehended all participants. According to the investigation, two Dnipro agents were recruited through Telegram channels while seeking “easy money,” and the others were targeted because of relatives in occupied areas.

The detainees have been charged under Part 2, Article 111 of Ukraine’s Criminal Code (high treason committed during martial law). They are held in custody without bail and face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
