Eight months after the agreement with the Czech company VOP CZ for the repair of Ukrainian T-64 tanks was signed, the company has not received any tanks yet.

Rostislav Roznovsky, the spokesperson for VOP CZ, stated this to the ČTK news agency.

Last June, the Czech Ministry of Defense announced the signing of a contract for the repair and modernization of T-64 tanks for the Ukrainian army.

Under the supervision of Ukrainian specialists familiar with this type of equipment, the Czech company was supposed to carry out a major overhaul of the tanks, as well as replace their sighting systems and radio stations with modern analogs. However, eight months after the contract was signed, the company has not received any combat vehicles to perform the specified services.

According to VOP CZ spokesperson Rostislav Roznovsky, the contract is still active but remains unfulfilled due to the absence of equipment.

"VOP CZ is ready to accept tanks and start working on them at any moment, but so far we have nothing to repair. The Ukrainian side has not yet delivered the tanks," Roznovsky said.

The Czech Ministry of Defense has not commented on the matter yet.

The absence of the necessary equipment may be related to the fact that most of the required tasks for repairing these tanks can be accomplished within the country itself. It is known that even during the war, Ukraine continues to repair and modernize armored vehicles.
