This month, the National Army of Moldova will participate in exercises alongside military personnel from the United States. This information was disseminated by the Ministry of Defense of Moldova, as reported by NewsMaker.
"From May 9 to 16, the National Army will participate in the Swift Response-2024 exercises, conducted under the leadership of the United States European Command and Africa Command. The exercises will take place on the territory of Moldova," the statement said.
The maneuvers will involve 400 servicemen from the Moldovan motorized infantry brigade "Moldova," the Fulger special forces battalion, and the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States. Two American C-130 Hercules aircraft will also be involved.
"The goal of the exercises is to develop capabilities and enhance the level of operational interoperability between the military, apply modern techniques, methods, and procedures of individual and collective military training in practice," the Ministry of Defense noted.
