Forbes Ukraine magazine published its list of 100 richest people in Ukraine in the May 2021 edition.


The top ten positions in the ranking are occupied by billionaires:

  • Rinat Akhmetov - $ 7.6 billion
  • Victor Pinchuk - $ 2.5 billion;
  • Konstantin Zhevago - $ 2.4 billion;
  • Igor Kolomoisky - $ 1.8 billion;
  • Gennady Bogolyubov - $ 1.7 billion;
  • Alexander Gerega, Galina Gerega - $ 1.7 billion;
  • Petro Poroshenko - $ 1.6 billion;
  • Vadim Novinsky - $ 1.4 billion;
  • Alexander Yaroslavsky - $ 820 million;
  • Yuri Kosyuk - $ 780 million

In total, 76 participants from the first hundred of the Ukrainian list have increased their fortune over the year. The wealth of the first hundred has increased by 42%, to $ 44.5 billion. As a result, the entrance ticket to a hundred has risen in price by a third, to $ 125 million. Over the year, the list has been updated by 21%. 14 participants made it to the list for the first time. Their total fortune exceeds $ 3 billion.

Seven more participants returned to the ranking after the break. Among the absolute newcomers are mainly representatives of the IT and energy industries.

The publication notes that the richest Ukrainians played into the hands of the growth in quotations of key export goods: oil, steel, wheat and corn. In the spring of 2021, the rise in commodity prices only accelerated, creating a good start for increasing the wealth of the members of the national hundred in 2022.

According to Forbes magazine, the list of 100 richest Ukrainians in 2021 includes 5 residents of Odessa:

The highest position was given to the Odessa businessman of Syrian origin, Adnan Kivan, who is engaged in the construction of residential and commercial real estate in Odessa and Kyiv. He is ranked 42 with a fortune of $ 240 million. His company Kadorr Group has built about 50 residential complexes in Odessa.

Next on the list is Boris Kaufman at 46th place with a fortune of $ 220 million. Kaufman owns 47% of Tedis Ukraine, a monopolist in the wholesale of tobacco products in Ukraine, as well as a part of the Odessa airport. Co-owner of the Bristol Hotel, Londonskaya Hotel in Odessa and President Hotel in Kyiv.

The owners of the private port TIS in Yuzhnoye, brothers Andrey Stavnitser and Egor Grebennikov, ranked 49th and 52nd respectively. Forbes estimated their fortune at $ 215 and $ 200 million. Last year, the largest port operator DP World from the UAE acquired a controlling stake (51%) in the TIS Container Terminal, which opens up the growth of container shipping potential.

Yury Rodin closes the rating at 90th place with 135 million dollars. Rodin owns a stake of the Pivdenny Bank, where he is the chairman of the board of shareholders, he also owns a stake of the Stalkanat-Silur company.
