The Russians are illegally holding 13 employees of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), which has been occupied by Russian forces since 2022.

This was reported by Energoatom on Telegram.

"13 employees of the Zaporizhzhia NPP have been illegally deprived of their freedom in the temporarily occupied territories," Energoatom stated.

It is noted that since the occupation of Europe's largest nuclear plant, Russia has started unprecedented pressure on the nuclear workers who refused to switch sides and sign invalid "contracts" with Rosatom.

"About five thousand specialists managed to leave the temporarily occupied Enerhodar, and NAEC 'Energoatom' is taking care of their employment in other divisions of the company. However, at least 13 employees of the Zaporizhzhia NPP are known to have been deprived of their freedom in the temporarily occupied territory. Seven of them have been 'sentenced' to imprisonment, three are still in prisons awaiting fake sentences. The fate of three others remains unknown – they are considered missing," Energoatom writes.

Also, at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia tortured to death ZNPP diver Andriy Honcharuk.

Meanwhile, the Russian forces continue to use the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant as a military base. Military vehicles are stationed in the machine halls of the units, and explosive weapons are being stored.
