The CEO of the electronic warfare (EW) systems manufacturer Kvertus, Yaroslav Filimonov, has announced the remotely controlled ground platform AD BERSERK, which creates a protective dome against enemy drones.
"Evacuating a wounded soldier from the frontline, conducting mine clearance, securing settlements during assault operations, delivering supplies and ammunition to positions, and rotation on the frontlines… all of this can now be done by the Berserk without risking the lives of soldiers," Filimonov wrote on social media.
The platform's specifications listed on the website are as follows:
- Power supply: built-in battery, 48 V, 60 Ah.
- Maximum range: up to 20 km.
- Speed: up to 25 km/h.
- Radio frequency range of the remote control: 100-200 MHz.
- Possible control via fiber optic connection.
- Remote control range: up to 500 m (depending on operational conditions).
- Weight: transport—no more than 700 kg, deployed—no more than 400 kg.
According to Yaroslav Filimonov, the AD BERSERK creates a protective dome of 300-500 meters against all types of drones, including FPV drones, bombers, and reconnaissance drones.
"It can operate under remote control for up to 4 kilometers, with a range of up to 30 kilometers. The EW system can operate autonomously for up to 6 hours. It is the only EW robot all-terrain vehicle of its kind," says the CEO of Kvertus.
Earlier in the summer, it was reported that Kvertus is developing an EW system that will work below noise levels and be able to disable AI-powered drones, with trials set to begin in early 2024. The suppression technology for such drones has already been tested in conditions close to combat.
