The Irish sports consulting company World Sports Rankings has released its annual "Elite Sports Country Ranking" (WRCES).
According to the World Sports Rankings website, Ukraine finished 2024 in 30th place, improving by one position from 2023.
World Sports Rankings is a ranking system that evaluates athletes' performance from each country in sports officially recognized by the IOC, as well as those not officially recognized but widely popular globally. A total of 114 sports are considered in the ranking.
Notably, Ukraine finished 22nd in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, securing 22 medals: 3 gold, 5 silver, and 4 bronze.
The top-ranking sports country was the United States, followed by France in second place and Great Britain in third.
