Ukrainian defense company Ratel Robotics has launched serial production of its tracked ground robots Nurse TB20. The company’s CEO Taras Ostapchuk announced this.

The updated unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) is currently being tested with a Follow Me function, allowing the robot to automatically track a soldier while requiring minimal attention from infantry during movement. The robot can carry around 200 kilograms of cargo and is equipped with three independent communication systems.

“I would really like this robot to allow soldiers to carry additional ammunition, water, and food supplies,” Ostapchuk said, explaining the decision to begin serial production.

In the comments to his post, Ratel’s CEO explained that the UGV uses rubber tracks produced in Ukraine. The company presented the Nurse TB20 robot in April 2026. At the time, it was reported that the UGV featured an intelligent Follow Me system, allowing it to automatically follow a soldier using a camera and target-tracking capabilities.

The first version of the robot was equipped with three interchangeable batteries and had a control range of up to 7 kilometers without a repeater and up to 10 kilometers with one. The robot can also be controlled via fiber-optic cable, with an operational range of up to 20 kilometers.
