As a result of a large-scale special operation, Ukrainian and Polish law enforcement uncovered a transnational group producing synthetic drugs on an industrial scale.

According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, hundreds of kilograms of narcotics were seized from the suspects.

The criminal group included two Ukrainian nationals and one Latvian citizen, who organized a network of clandestine labs in both countries.

As part of the operation, authorities dismantled a lab in Poland producing crystalline methadone, as well as eight multi-laboratories in both Poland and Ukraine where highly dangerous drugs—including methadone, mephedrone, and alpha-PVP—were manufactured simultaneously.

In total, 38 searches were conducted at locations used for producing and storing drugs, chemical precursors, reagents, and lab equipment.

Law enforcement seized large batches of finished drugs, precursors, laboratory apparatus, weapons, communication devices, and cash.

Three suspects have been charged under Article 307, Part 3 of Ukraine’s Criminal Code (illegal production and sale of narcotic drugs by an organized group). All are in custody, and the indictment has been sent to court.
