For the second year in a row, Ukraine participated in NATO’s REPMUS 2025 exercises — the largest international event focused on the use of unmanned systems in maritime operations. On the Troia Peninsula (Portugal), naval forces from 24 countries spent three weeks jointly testing the latest defense technologies. Ukraine was part of the “Red” team and provided its command through the DELTA system.
Using the Ukrainian combat system DELTA, over 100 unmanned platforms — maritime, underwater, ground, and aerial — were coordinated. In addition to drone coordination, the integration of the latest STANAG was confirmed, demonstrating compatibility with the Alliance and paving the way for the standardization of Ukrainian solutions. Video streams from all Red Team drones were also transmitted through DELTA (Vezha module).
“REPMUS 2025 confirmed that Ukrainian technologies not only meet NATO standards but also shape new approaches to warfare. DELTA proved compatibility with the Alliance’s latest standards and successfully coordinated hundreds of unmanned systems of various types in practice. This is evidence of the flexibility of our solutions and the ability to quickly adapt to any combat operations at sea, on land, or in the air,” said Ukrainian Minister of Defense Denys Shmyhal.
The Ukrainian team was composed of servicemen from different branches of the armed forces, with the Ukrainian Navy playing a key role in coordination and ensuring effective performance in complex multinational scenarios.
During the exercises, Ukrainian servicemen shared combat experience with partners. REPMUS 2025 reinforced Ukraine’s status as a partner influencing the development of joint security technologies.
