Google has once again allowed Ukrainian entrepreneurs to register their businesses on Google Maps and use Google Business.
This news was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov.
In April 2022, Google blocked the ability for Ukraine to use Google Business and add new objects to maps due to security concerns.
Ukrainians were unable to publish reviews, ask questions, or add information about their businesses.
"The team at the Ministry of Digital Transformation worked together with Google, which allowed us to once again add new objects, leave comments, and more. Ukrainian businesses now have an effective tool for promotion and attracting new customers," emphasized Fedorov.
The head of the ministry noted that this decision by Google will help Ukrainian entrepreneurs who are continuing to grow, create new jobs, and support the country's economy despite the full-scale war.
Google will implement special spam control measures to ensure that the platform is used appropriately. Currently, these services will not be available in temporarily occupied territories and in regions with active combat operations, as clarified by the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
