As part of her official visit, the President of the European Commission handed over 50 cars for the needs of the National Police of Ukraine and the Office of the Prosecutor General.

"It is an honor for me to be here in Ukraine during this difficult time for you. We sincerely hope that these cars will be useful in your crucial work. I know that you are doing tremendous work ensuring security and stabilization in the territories liberated from Russian occupation. I want to thank you and the entire Ukrainian people for your courage and for everything you do on the path to Victory," said Ursula von der Leyen.

30 SUVs, received by units of the National Police of Ukraine, will be working in the front-line or de-occupied territories, stated the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

Igor Klymenko thanked European partners for their support during these two years of war and noted that the transferred cars will be sent to the territories closest to the combat zone tomorrow.

"Today, the largest war since World War II is taking place on the territory of our country. We hold on and win it precisely because of you. Over two thousand patrols go on duty every day in the de-occupied territories. We deal with delivering humanitarian aid, medicine, responding to crimes. But unfortunately, every day we lose both people and cars. We are grateful to our partners, our European friends, for the support you provide us. Together to Victory," emphasized the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Igor Klymenko.

After the completion of the key handover ceremony, Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klymenko, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, and Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin inspected the transferred cars.
