International partners have confirmed their intention to provide Ukraine with new assistance to overcome the energy crisis, including more than 6,000 units of energy equipment.
This was announced by Prime Minister Yuliya Svyrydenko following a coordination meeting of the G7+ group on Ukraine’s energy support.
“I expressed gratitude to our partners for the assistance already provided and for that which will arrive in our country soon. Partners announced and confirmed new support packages, which include over 6,000 units of major energy equipment and contributions to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund,” the statement read.
Specifically:
- The European Union will provide 447 generators.
- Italy will contribute €10 million to the Energy Support Fund, with an additional €50 million included in the budget.
- Lithuania’s government has promised 90 generators.
- Germany will provide €60 million in support and additional equipment: 33 cogeneration units, 15 mobile hybrid generators, 300 photovoltaic installations, 375 battery units, 31 boiler units, 45 pieces of construction machinery, and 10 water heaters.
- The United Kingdom will contribute nearly €23 million to the Fund.
- The United States will provide $400 million for humanitarian projects supporting Ukrainians this winter.
- France is expected to deliver over 100 generators with a total capacity of 13 MW.
- Japan will supply 140 small and medium generators, 60 small and medium transformers, equipment for repair works, 2 cogeneration units, and 13 sets of frequency converters.

Svyrydenko briefed partners on the situation in Ukraine’s energy sector and invited meeting participants to visit Ukraine to see firsthand the consequences of Russian attacks and their impact on people’s lives.
