On the night of August 19 (from 20:00 on August 18), the Russian forces attacked with 280 aerial strike means:
- 270 strike drones of the Shahed type and various imitation drones from the directions of Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Russia;
- 5 Iskander-M ballistic missiles from Rostov and Voronezh regions – Russia, and occupied Crimea;
- 5 Kh-101 cruise missiles from strategic aviation aircraft over the Caspian Sea.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and UAV systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 09:00, air defense shot down/suppressed 236 aerial targets:
- 230 Shahed drones and imitation drones of various types;
- 2 Iskander-M ballistic missiles;
- 4 Kh-101 cruise missiles.
Impact was recorded from 4 missiles and 40 drones at 16 locations, with debris from downed targets falling in 3 locations.
