Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico stated that Ukraine should "compromise" with Russia regarding its territories to end the war more quickly. The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the inadmissibility of territorial concessions.
This information was reported by Oleg Nikolenko, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, on Facebook.
"There can be no compromise on territorial integrity, neither for Ukraine, nor for Slovakia, nor for any other country," wrote Nikolenko.
He emphasized that Ukraine and its partners are making efforts to remove Russians from Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions so that they do not advance further, "including towards Košice, Prešov, and other Slovak lands."
"Let's speak frankly: without security in Ukraine, there will be no security in Slovakia or Europe as a whole. We must, jointly, bring the Ukrainian victory closer," stated the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The day before, Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico hinted that Ukraine might have to cede part of its territories to Russia to end the war more quickly.
"There must be some compromise. What do they (Ukrainians) expect, that the Russians will leave Crimea, Donbas, and Luhansk? It's unrealistic," he said.
