The first Russian marine bulker entered the Mariupol port. It docked near the Ship Repair Plant.
This information was provided by Petro Andryushenko, an advisor to the Mayor of Mariupol.
"This is very bad news. This is what the dredging was needed for. Now it has happened - the first marine-class ship (not river-sea) docked near the Ship Repair Plant. Bulker-class ships have their own cranes, and their Deadweight Tonnage (DWT) is significantly higher than 5,000 tons, as in RM-3 class ships," Andryushenko stated.
According to him, it is currently unknown what the bulker is carrying, but it is likely involved in transporting something.
"It's not difficult to guess what exactly it is. Definitely not houses for the people of Mariupol. The military-logistical map is starting to change. On the other hand, this certainly signals the upcoming cotton season in the Primorsky district of Mariupol," wrote the Mayor's advisor.
Andryushenko added that the presence of enemy ships in the port likely signals the upcoming "explosion season" in the Primorsky district of Mariupol.
As reported by Mariupol City Council member Dmytro Zabavin in an interview on "Suspilne. Resistance," Russians use the port to transport weapons, which they conceal by unloading construction materials and similar cargo.
The Center for National Resistance reported that the Russian Federation intends to establish a "branch" of its Black Sea Fleet in Mariupol.
In addition to activities in the port, the Russians are attempting to establish direct rail connections between the occupied cities of Mariupol, Volnovakha, and Donetsk
