Kuleba: EU visa sanctions should also apply to citizens of Belarus

The EU foreign ministers are discussing, among other things, the issue of issuing tourist visas to Russian citizens.

Citizens of Belarus should also be subject to a ban on issuing visas to the European Union.

This was stated by Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba in an interview with Radio Liberty.

“Certainly. Belarus is an accomplice in the crime of aggression committed by the Russian Federation,” Kuleba answered the question of whether visa restrictions should also affect Belarusian citizens.

The EU foreign ministers are discussing, among other things, the issue of issuing tourist visas to Russian citizens.

Kuleba believes that the ban on issuing tourist visas to Russian citizens is "a matter of European self-respect."

The head of the Foreign Ministry called the abolition of the simplified visa regime for Russians a "half-measure", expressing the opinion that it was the half-hearted measures against Russia that were one of the reasons that led to a full-scale war against Ukraine.
