The Russians carried out another massive strike on communities, ports, railways, and critical infrastructure, Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction and Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksiy Kuleba reported.
According to him,
“In Kyiv region, a railway junction station, a train station, a suburban train depot, and rolling stock were damaged. This is purely civilian infrastructure for social suburban transportation.”
Kuleba noted that suburban train traffic to and from Fastiv in Kyiv region is currently disrupted. Ukrzaliznytsia has adjusted schedules while restoring operations and is relocating reserve trains from other depots.
Together with the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, buses are being organized to transport passengers along routes bypassing Fastiv.
Energy infrastructure in Kyiv region was also damaged, with emergency services working on-site to eliminate the consequences.
“Targeted strikes hit electricity and heat generation facilities in Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia, Lviv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Repair teams are already working on restoration,” the Vice Prime Minister emphasized. In Odessa region, 9,500 subscribers remain without heat and 34,000 without water due to damage.
Switchovers to backup power lines are ongoing.
Port facilities were also hit: part of the infrastructure lost power, and operators switched to backup generators. Administrative buildings and elements of port infrastructure were damaged by debris and blast waves.
“Russia continues to systematically strike cities, energy facilities, and logistics routes. Relevant services across the country are working in an enhanced mode,” Kuleba noted.
Restoration work is ongoing continuously.
