On Tuesday, the Rembrandt House Museum in Amsterdam launched a Ukrainian-language multimedia tour as part of First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska’s project aimed at promoting the Ukrainian language in leading museums worldwide.

According to the Embassy of Ukraine in the Netherlands, the project of introducing Ukrainian audio guides in museums worldwide was created to foster mutual understanding of history and heritage and to allow masterpieces to “speak” to visitors in their native language.

Ambassador of Ukraine Andrii Kostin thanked Dutch partners and the Ukrainian community for their support and commitment to developing the Ukrainian language in Dutch museums. He emphasized that launching the Ukrainian-language guide symbolizes friendship and solidarity with Ukraine during these challenging times.

The embassy expressed gratitude to museum director Milou Halbesma, the Rembrandt House Museum team, and long-time friend of Ukraine Willem Jan Hoogsteder for supporting the initiative.

This is already the sixth Ukrainian audio guide introduced in the Netherlands. Today, leading museums such as the Rijksmuseum, Bredius Museum, Escher Museum, Mauritshuis, Van Gogh Museum, and the Rembrandt House Museum offer tours in Ukrainian.
