The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense and the Center for Counteracting Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine publish another batch of "Kremlin loudspeakers" on the War&Sanctions portal.

The update includes 13 Russian journalists, bloggers, media managers, and 'political scientists' who are ideologists, organizers, and executors of Russian propaganda and information operations against Ukraine.

Among them are:

  • Armen Gasparyan: One of the key Kremlin propagandists, author of the book "Denazification of Ukraine: A Country of Unlearned Lessons," in which he "justifies" the need for the complete destruction of Ukraine as a state and the "denazification" of its population through military and repressive methods. Gasparyan is under sanctions from the EU, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Ukraine.

  • Nikolai Tupikin and Ilya Gambashidze: Owners and leaders of the Russian group "Structure," responsible for executing information operations in favor of the Kremlin, including the "Doppelganger" operation aimed at spreading pro-Russian propaganda and disinformation worldwide, especially in the US and Latin America. Both are under sanctions from the USA, EU, and the UK. Gambashidze is also sanctioned by Switzerland.

  • Dmitriy Sityi: Director of the "Russian House" in Bangui, Central African Republic, which masquerades as a cultural and educational institution but is a cover for the Wagner group's activities. Sityi coordinates disinformation campaigns and spreads pro-Russian narratives. He is under sanctions from the EU, UK, Canada, and Ukraine.

  • Alexander Ivanov: Self-proclaimed "spokesman" for the Wagner group in the Central African Republic, founder of the "Union of Officers for International Security" responsible for sending Russian "military instructors" to the country. Sanctions have been imposed on Ivanov by the USA, EU, UK, Canada, and Ukraine.

  • Sergey Karaganov: A Russian political scientist and one of the key ideologists of Kremlin propaganda regarding Ukraine. He publicly called for a nuclear strike on Poland in June 2023, justifying it as a means to "force the West into concessions." Karaganov is under sanctions from the EU, Switzerland, Canada, Australia, and Ukraine.

  • Pavel Zarubin: A Russian propagandist, host of the program "Moscow. Kremlin. Putin." Zarubin is sanctioned by Ukraine.

  • Tina Kandelaki: A Russian propagandist, TV host, and deputy director of the Gazprom-Media holding. Kandelaki openly supports the war against Ukraine, calling it "necessary to protect Russian-speaking populations." She also called on Ukrainian leadership to flee at the start of the full-scale invasion. She is under sanctions from the USA, EU, Canada, Australia, and Ukraine.

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense and the Center for Counteracting Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council remind that the weaponization of information is part of Russia's military doctrine, and Russian information operations have no borders or front lines.
