Australia is allocating financial assistance to support Ukraine's defense. This amounts to over 32 million dollars.
This was reported by the government of Australia and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Twitter (X).
On the eve of the second anniversary of Russia's invasion, the Australian government will provide a grant of 50 million Australian dollars (over 32 million US dollars) to the International Fund for Ukraine. The funds will be used to purchase priority military equipment.
The International Fund for Ukraine is administered by the Ministry of Defense of Britain. Contributions from partners are used to purchase military equipment.
Australia has emphasized that it will continue to train Ukrainian military personnel as part of a program conducted in Britain. Additionally, the Australian government has provided the E-7A Wedgetail aircraft to Germany to protect vital logistical routes.
The government added that since the start of the full-scale war, it has provided up to 960 million dollars in aid, with 780 million going towards supporting the Ukrainian army.
