The Ukrainian Museum in New York City, USA, will host the first solo exhibition of Ukrainian artist Alexandra Exter.
Titled "Alexandra Exter: The Stage is the World," the exhibition will offer a deep exploration of the artist's creative journey from 1913 to 1934. The opening will take place on September 27, 2024, and the exhibition will run until January 19, 2025.
It will feature over sixty-six paintings and works on paper, highlighting both Exter's early experiments and her avant-garde contributions to theatrical art. The collection will include rare and significant works by the artist.
This solo show has been made possible through collaboration between Ukrainian and American museums, as well as international private collectors. The Ukrainian Museum in New York will also release a special publication dedicated to Alexandra Exter's work as part of the project.
