As of August 1, for the third consecutive day, electricity supply restrictions are not in effect in Ukraine. The situation in the energy system remains stable.
This was reported by Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Svitlana Hrynchuk, during a briefing on the United News Telethon.
"Energy workers are working around the clock and actively preparing the energy system for the autumn-winter period. I thank every energy worker for their continuous work. It is this effort that allows us to stay connected and not implement outages for consumers," noted Svitlana Hrynchuk.
The Ministry of Energy reminded that over 9 GW of generating capacity were destroyed due to massive Russian attacks. Despite the current absence of planned power outages, consumers are urged to use electricity wisely and conservatively, especially during peak hours—morning from 7:00 to 11:00 and evening from 17:00 to 22:00.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that the enemy continues to conduct shelling. Specifically, during the past day, a high-voltage overhead line in the Donetsk region was disconnected due to shelling.
"Fortunately, energy workers managed to avoid disconnecting consumers," she clarified.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, an overhead line was also disconnected during an air alert, and wire breaks were detected.
"During the past day, energy workers restored power to nearly 11,000 consumers who were without electricity due to hostilities. In total, 486 settlements remain without power due to hostilities and technological disruptions, primarily in frontline areas," added Svitlana Hrynchuk.
