China has happily taken over the Russian market and is making use of it. But this is destroying the market itself. Even Russian companies are already crying out that China is killing them. Just read what the director of AvtoVAZ writes. This is killing AvtoVAZ. He is shouting about it openly, but that won’t save him.

The Russian auto market was sold to China for the sake of “friendship,” and the Chinese market is spreading across Russia. Russia is just one segment of China’s automotive market.

You should read the statements of Moscow’s mayor, Sobyanin. “Chinese friends forever” doesn’t help; everything sold to Russia is very expensive. So all these talks about friendliness and China supporting Russia are only something the most gullible and naive people can believe. China uses Russia gladly, taking its natural resources in exchange for money that Russia earns from it.

If China allows the purchase of some Chinese goods, that’s it. No other financial arrangements.

Currently, an interesting topic is being discussed. The Russian Ministry of Finance had “rosy” expectations that money could be parked in China. You wouldn’t believe it, but back in 2015, they began negotiations about selling federal loan bonds in China to get money through the Chinese market to support the Russian budget. The Chinese did not give permission. Negotiations went on for about 10 years, and still the Chinese did not grant permission.

Now they tried to reach a solution to sell Federal Loan Bonds (OFZs) not to state banks, but at least to the population. Again, the Chinese did not allow it. Currently, Russia is trying to persuade China to allow selling Russian company bonds on its territory to its citizens, specifically Rosatom. I don’t know if it will succeed, but talks are ongoing. It’s possible that China simply wants to use this to put these Russian companies under its control. That is possible. In other words, if a company defaults on a bond, China could simply confiscate it. That is possible. But China gives nothing else to Russia.

Loans? None. Not a single intergovernmental loan exists. Why? Why would China help Russia survive? China will help Russia to meditate, but not to develop.

It’s strange that people look at this and try to construct some kind of picture in their minds, forgetting that there is already a concrete example.

Russia is currently heading straight down the road toward North Korea. Just as North Korea is a vassal, a puppet of China, Russia is becoming a vassal, a puppet of China.

And what does China do regarding North Korea? It does not let it die and prevents anyone from destroying it. But it doesn’t support it generously, so North Korea is a country of deep poverty, with a military industry and a privileged leadership that obediently does whatever China says. That is exactly Russia’s future. Russian patriots may like it or not, but Russia has turned into a completely powerless vassal, a puppet of China.

That’s the whole story.
