In the Reni district pellets are made from carrots and parsley

In the Odessa region, houses are heated with carrot and parsley waste.

Farmer Mikhail Tsonkov has been producing agropellets from plant waste grown in his agricultural cooperative for three years. They provide slightly less heat than wood, but are much cheaper and safer for the environment.

In the village of Kotlovyna they do not cut firewood and refused gas. They switched to biofuels from agricultural waste. Vegetable and green seeds are grown for sale here. Previously, the waste was given to sheep or burned. Now carrots, beets and parsley are the fuel for boilers, and ash is used as fertilizer. Agropellets are produced by the "Gagauz Eri" cooperative.

When pellets are burning, you can always say what they are made of by smell

Up to 70 tons of biofuels are produced here during the season. They ask for 1,500 uah per ton. The cooperative plans to use fragrant lavender fuel.
