Avdiivka remains the main direction for Russia on the front line. The Russian army continues attacks in the southeastern part of the city, where street fighting is ongoing.

This information was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom on Twitter.

According to the summary, over the past two weeks, Russian forces have deployed additional troops to the Avdiivka sector, increasing pressure on Ukrainian positions around the city. The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to conduct counterattacks to ensure the preservation of the main supply route.

According to British intelligence, over the past four weeks, approximately 600 guided munitions have been launched by tactical aircraft against Ukrainian positions in Avdiivka. Specifically, on February 5, 2024, Russian aircraft increased the number of strikes with guided aviation munitions from 30 to 50 per day, which is 66% more than in the previous two weeks.

However, Russian aircraft are forced to launch munitions from a distance, reducing their accuracy due to the threat from Ukrainian air defense systems, as stated in the report.

"Russia is almost certain to continue offensive pressure in this area over the next several weeks, actively using tactical aviation to support its efforts," the UK Ministry of Defense noted.
