Ukraine possesses comprehensive information about the situation on its borders with Russia, Belarus, and other countries. Adequate responses are being prepared, and there is no need to succumb to panic moods.

This information was conveyed by the spokesperson for the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Andriy Yusov, in an interview on Radio NV.

"Today, Ukraine has the most information about what is happening on Ukrainian borders with Russia, Belarus, and other states. Naturally, we actively exchange information with our partners, and all the real, most relevant information is known to both our partners and, undoubtedly, the Ukrainian Armed Forces and security agencies. Adequate responses are being prepared," said Yusov.

He noted that informational actions are either in the interests of the enemy or within the framework of exercising genuine freedom of speech and normal information policies.

"But we must react to it soberly, not succumb to any panic moods," emphasized the Main Intelligence Directorate spokesperson.

The information from The Telegraph, citing a source close to Ukrainian military, about a potential "ground offensive" by Russians in the Kharkiv region starting on January 15 after intensified shelling, has been reported. However, the spokesperson for the Ukrainian Ground Forces command, Lieutenant Colonel Volodymyr Fytio, stated that the military has not observed any changes in the composition of enemy forces in the Kharkiv region or on the territory of Russia bordering the region.

At the end of December, Commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, mentioned that Russian forces continue intensive offensive actions on the Kup'yansk direction and are regrouping on the Lyman direction. The Ukrainian Armed Forces do not exclude the possibility that the Russian army aims to capture Kupyansk, intending to approach it from the north and east, potentially using it as a foothold for further advances.
